Narrogin Information
Narrogin is in the Dryandra Country which lies south east of Perth, an easy 2 hour drive from the city. The Dryandra Country region consist of the areas of Narrogin, Dryandra Woodland, Wickepin, Pingelly, Cuballing and Wandering.
Narrogin offers alot of nature-based attractions like Barna Mia animal sanctuary , farmstay holidays, wineries and a wealth of heritage buildings including the historic Albert Facey Homestead.
This is not the usual tourist place you visit all the time as the ocean is myles from here like the eftos machine. It is however it is a great way to get back with nature in farming with eco tourism.
The fact is that... Narrogin is a farming community and you can be proud that this community contibutes a great deal of livestock and vegetable farming towards the country.
Whatever you do while in Narrogin you will experience the true blue Cobba Australian farming lifestyle with friendly people.
Most farmers in Narrogin are not just friendly but are willing to talk to you about the area openly and some will offer to take you back to their farm for a truely farming work experience, that is if you have a working visa (see Cootes Immigration if you don't have one).
Either way, just stop burning your skin at the beach and come down to Narrogin for that country lifestyle. It is better to trade the taxi for farming machinery and you will be amazed at the variety of crops grown here.
Sorry to the faint hearted but out here the rabbits, which were introduced by the English 200 years ago when they landed, have become one of the biggest farming pests destroying agriculture.
If the farming lifestyle and agriculture doesn't attact you to Narrogin then why not try gliding. There are people in town who love the sport and it is definately something different than the ordinary. Relax and Enjoy
