Quinns Rocks Information

Quinns Rocks is a great suburb 40 kms north of Perth away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic. It is a coastal suburb located directly in the Neerabup National Park and the perfect getaway.

Quinns Rocks was named after surveyor Robert Quin in 1867 by his assistant who noticed the offshore reef and the rugged coastline and decided to name the place after his boss.

Nothing much happened at Quinns Rocks until the 1930’s when the Wanneroo Council issues issued boatshed and camping permits to holiday makers.

There were numerous beach shacks emerging at Quinns Rocks in the 40’s and 50’s so in the beginning 60’s Quinns Rocks officially became developed and it was declared a townsite.

Quinns Rocks today is one of Perth’s premier places travellers and tourists should not miss. To sum up the area Quinns Rocks is all about the beach lifestyle and a great holiday.

There is fantastic swimming, snorkelling, fishing, windsurfing, jetskiing and scuba diving as there are numberous shipwrecks to be sited.

A beautiful thing about Quinns Rocks is being able to laze on the beach all week round and often without the crowds to annoy you. Just soak up the sun and relax.

There are also numerous recreational facilities, parks, walking tracks and wildlife flora to explore if you like the environmental eco experience.

These days Quinns Rocks is more and more becoming a holiday hotspot. The Mindarie Marina in not far away, however you are deciding to stay north of Perth look no further than Quinns Rocks.
