Broadbeach Information
Broadbeach in Queensland is a popular tourist destination and is just a short 10-minute drive to the heart of Surfers Paradise. Broadbeach is the perfect place to escape as it is a little more relaxed and quiet than Surfers Paradise.
The beach is magnificent and there are many trendy restaurants and places to dine in. Shopping is also excellent as Broadbeach hosts one of Queensland’s largest shopping centres the Pacific Fair. The shopping complex is complete with Myer, Target, Kmart, Coles and heaps of specialty shops. There is also a 12 Screen cinema for your leisure.
Broadbeach is also home to the famous Conrad Jupiter’s Casino which is the main casino located in the Gold Coast region. Many overseas visitors and locals visit the casino which also has it’s own monorail leading from the shopping centre to the Casino.
In Broadbeach there are also some spectacular and well-known apartment blocks such as The Wave, Belle Maison, South Pacific Plaza, Freshwater and the Ocean Pacific Resort. For casual relaxing café atmosphere Surf Parade is the centre point of Broadbeach.
There are plenty of clubs and bars to keep you entertained all night long in Broadbeach. Some of the greatest spots include the 1 two 3 Lounge Bar, East, Brannigans Tavern, Mermaid Beach Tavern and Broadbeach Tavern.
Broadbeach also hosts the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Opened in 2004 the centre can facilitate conferences for up to 6000 delegates with over 3000 square meter of exhibition hall. If there is a conference happening at the Gold Coast then chances are they are being held at Broadbeach.
An event not to miss in Broadbeach is the Broadbeach Arts and Crafts Markets, which are held on the first and third Sunday of every month. There are over 150 stalls displaying locally made goods, gifts and fresh produce.
