Hughenden, Queensland is a small town of about 1,500 people situated on the banks of the Flinders River. It is the major centre for the cattle and sheep grazing industry.

A replica Muttaburrasaurus dinosaur is in town. In 1963 dinosaur bones and teeth were discovered in Hughenden and today it is still celebrated with the annual Hughenden Dinosaur Festival.
