Mossman Information
Mossman in Queensland is a small town of about 1,700 people located on the Mossman River. The town was originally called Mosman but because of confusion with the Sydney suburb of Mosman another s was placed in its name.
The town is a highly productive sugar cane farming community and contains the Mossman Central Mill for cane processing. Temperature for Mossman in summer is usually in the mid 30’s and in winter low 20’s.
The Daintree Rainforest is the biggest tourist attraction in the region. Eco enthusiasts come from all over the world to view the tropical rainforest in Queensland. The Daintree Discovery Centre will guide you on your eco tourism adventure. There is a massive aerial walkway and a 23 metre high canopy tower for you to get up close and personal with nature.
The bush tucker and cassowary circuit provides excellent trek adventure and is complete with reclining benches for you relax and absorb your magnificent jungle like surroundings. Naturalists on tour out here are available for up to six different languages due to the areas popularity.

Mossman also has the Karnak Playhouse which is an amphitheatre set in the mountains complete with a waterfall backdrop. Performances and events are held to merge live performances with nature.
