Noosa Information

Noosa is located on the Noosa River is another of Queensland’s hot spot tourist destinations. Although it has a population of only 4,000 people, many tourists and travellers choose here to enjoy their holiday vacations.

Noosa is the collective name given to describe the area of Noosaville, Noosa River, Noosa Junction and the famous Noosa Heads near Hastings street.

Apart from the beautiful beach lifestyle, many visitors come here to see Noosa National Park which hosts a natural Koala Population that is present all year round. If you are thinking of visiting Noosa, you have made the right choice as your holiday will be packed with both the beach lifestyle as well as the land based eco environmental tourism all wrapped into one.

Main Beach is a popular Beach in Noosa where you can find some sheltered bays to enjoy some swimming and relaxation without the waves. On the other hand if surf is what you are looking for then Sunshine Beach offers magnificent surfing breaks. Surfing at Noosa is world renowned and every year the Noosa Festival of Surfing is held which even attracts some famous stars from the world surfing circuit.

The Noosa River can be another great adventure and often you will see plenty of Kayaking and canoeing action down the river. There are also ample places along the river for you to enjoy some fishing. Flathead is commonly caught on the sand banks along the river.

Hastings Street in Noosa Heads hosts the cafe strip and here you will find plenty of restaurants and cafes to relax and dine at. There are also various specialty shops for you to buy the perfect holiday treat.
