Mole Creek Information
Mole Creek in Tasmania is a small town with a population of less than 300 people. In 1890 a railway opened at Mole Creek, which mostly carried timber for the timber mill at Burnie. Today the railway is unfortunately no longer operating. But it still makes good history of the area.

The leatherwood honey produced in the region is unique and sold internationally for its fine quality. You can find the Stephens honey factory at 25 pioneer drive which is open from Monday to Friday.
Mole Creek is also one of the best places in Tasmania for seeing the Tasmanian Devil as it has become a very successful breeding ground in the area.
Some major adventure for any traveller can be found at the Mole Creek Karst National Park. The national park comprises of 1,300 hectares of environment and over 300 caves with the best being the Marakoopa Cave and King Solomons Cave. Both caves are excellent exploring experiences and it is best to explore the caves with a guided tour so you don’t get into trouble.

The wildlife park features native Tasmania fauna and wildlife for the perfect holiday trip in Australia. Feel free to take a happy snap of you holding an Australian Koala or enjoy the viewing the many other wildlife species.
